The Astral Chart is a diagram that represents the position of the planets in the sky as we see them from the Earth. In ancient times this diagram was square, but the modern astral charts are usually drawn in a circular shape that represents the celestial dome.

The circular diagram of the Astral Chart consists of four rings, which contain the four basic components for astrological interpretation: planets, zodiacal signs, houses and aspects. The planets are the archetypal energies that operate in the psyche. They move through the different signs of the zodiac, which endow them with specific qualities. The houses are specific areas of the worldly sphere where the planets exert their influences, such as in relationships, profession, health or material resources. Finally, the planets create fields of forces between them, known as aspects, which can be harmonic or inharmonic, depending on the angle that separates them.

The interpretation of the Astral Chart and its four components is a deep and complex matter. The more one studies its possibilities the more sense and meaning can be extracted from it.

Astral charts can be drawn for any event, such as a wedding, the start of a business, a trip or any worldly event. However, the most common astral charts are the natal ones, in which the positions of the planets are drawn at the time of birth of a person.

Therefore, each of us has a particular natal chart, which represents the position of the planets at the time we are born. This chart is unique for each of us, given that it would take billions of years for the same planetary configuration to be repeated in the sky, and it contains the full potential of what our life can be. The planetary energies contained at the moment of our birth will play out throughout our life, in a conscious or in an unconscious way. However, when we understand the symbolism of our chart, we can then make conscious choices according to the planetary influences contained in it and, as a result, be more in charge of our own life and destiny.
